Whistler Peak 2 Peak 360 Experience, cable car in Whistler, Canada 1 127
Show on map
The Whistler Peak 2 Peak 360 Experience cableway in Canada connects the Whistler Mountains (Whistler Peak, 2182 m) and Blackcomb (Blackcomb, 2284 m), located in the territory of Whistler-Blackcomb - the largest ski resort in North America. A 3.3 km long drive in a panoramic gondola takes 11 minutes.
There are 28 cars on the line: two silver ones with a shock-resistant glass floor, and 26 red. It is possible to get to the Peak 2 Peak Gondola station on foot or by car, shuttle, or ski lifts.
Twice a year the cableway is closed for maintenance; for the rest of the time, it works according to the seasonal schedule. Tickets can be bought online (at least 3 days prior to the visit or earlier); Day-to-Day tickets can be purchased on site.
The ticket includes:
- the actual cableway ride,
- a visit to the Peak 2 Peak Viewing Gallery, from where it is possible to see the operating mechanisms of the lift,
- a visit to the 2010 Olympics and Paralympic Games exhibition at the Roundhouse Lodge,
- movies about the mountains at the Samsung Alpine Theatre,
- 50 km of hiking and jogging trails (in the summer).
