The Botanical garden and museum are the part of the National Museum of Denmark. The garden was opened in the centre of Copenhagen in 1870. There are more than 13000 species of plant and 27 greenhouses on the territory of the garden.
Here the visitors can see plants of Denmark, permanent and one-year plants, alpine gardens with plants from the South Korea and Central Europe and a hill with coniferous plants. There are begonias, cacti, orchids and tropical plants at the greenhouses; the most famous pavilion is the Palm pavilion. There is also a greenhouses with arctic plants in the garden.
Admission is free.
