The DDR Museum opened on the Spree embankment in 2006. Visitors can try to see what life in the DDR was like. The exhibition is interactive: guests are allowed to open drawers, watch TV with old programmes, and the kitchen maintains the special DDR smell.
At the museum shop, visitors can buy products that were made in East Germany.
