There are more than 3000 animals and 7000 plants at the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden.
The park is divided into several theme zones dedicated to animals from different climatic regions, water inhabitants, butterflies, snakes, farm animals and pets, rare plants and so on.
Visitors can watch public feedings, touch snakes and take part in shows with animals. In evenings music concerts are regularly held at the park.
In 2016 the zoo turns 150.
