The Bygdøy peninsula is located in the western part of Oslo. Five museums are located on the peninsula: the Viking Ship Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum, the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, the Norwegian Maritime Museum and the Fram ship. The official summer residence of the king and the Oscarshall castle are also located here.
