The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History is the largest open-air cultural history museum in the world. Visitors can learn how people have been living from 1500 until today: 160 buildings show different periods of history and various social classes. The "owners" of some of these houses show visitors how to cook traditional dishes or make some hand-made objects. Permanent exhibitions are dedicated to folk art, toys, costumes and Sami culture.
