The Trondenes Historical Center is located in a small seaport called Harstad. The museum was built in 1997. It teaches the history of Norway from Stone Age until nowadays. Special attention is given to the Vikings and the Middle Ages. The exposition is interactive - visitors can watch videos, listen to music and even sence smells.
Nearby there is the oldest stone church in Norway that was built in XII century.
Also the museum has a cafe for visitors.
