The Lauhanvuori National Park is located in Southern Ostrobothnia, it was founded in 1982 and takes up 53 sq. km of land. The parks territory is covered by swamps, but its center is occupied by mount Lauhanvuori (231 meter tall). There is an observation tower at the top of Lauhanvuori, it is one of the tallest points in Western Finland.
