Roihuvuoren Kirsikkapuisto in Helsinki is a home to over 200 cherry trees. On a yearly basis, the park hosts the Helsinki Hanami festival in May, celebrating the blossoming of the cherry trees. Full bloom usually lasts only a few days.
The park welcomes families with children and is dog-friendly. There are a number of street food options available during the festival. After admiring the blossoming cherry trees it is possible to continue strolling into the Porolahti Park with its promenade and viewpoint on the sea.
