Taronga Zoo Sydney opened in 1916 in the north of the city.
More than 2600 animals, fish and birds inhabit the zoo. Excursions and talks with staff members are regularly held here. One can have a look at the zoo from an aerial railway above it.
There are cafes, restaurants, picnic areas, gift shops and baby changing rooms at the zoo.
In summer 2013 a walking trail between theme zones of the zoo started operating, and in December 2013 a lemur farm with a children playground opened.
Tickets are available online and at the entrance.
