Show on map
The Swarovski Crystal Museum was founded in 1995 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Swarovski company on the very spot where its first factory opened. The museum is located in Wattens (15 km east of Innsbruck).
The whole exposition is located underground, and the main entrance with a waterfall is made in the form of a giant's head. The museum came up with a legend about this giant - he is the true owner of all the "treasures" of the museum.
There are 16 halls with interactive exhibitions, including the Mechanical Theater, the Crystal Dome, the Winter Dream, the Crystaloscope, the Crystal Forest, the Ice Corridor, and the 55 Million Crystals. The world's largest Swarovski shop is also located here.
For children over 4 years old, there is an open-air playground, a palm-shaped maze of greenery and a playtower with a 14-meter vertical climbing net, hanging beams, wooden and metal slides. There are several bistros, a restaurant and free parking available to the museum guests. Various events such as concerts, workshops and festivals, including the traditional Winter Festival are held here regularly.
The shuttle to the Swarovski Museum leaves Innsbruck every 2 hours from 09:00 to 15:00, the schedule can be found on the museum's website.
For children under 14 years of age, accompanied by adults, entrance to the museum is free. In order to enter the store or restaurant, visitors do not need to buy tickets.
