The Aalborghus Castle was built in the XVI century.
The east wing is the only part that is left of the original castle, other buildings were constructed later. The castle is surrounded by a park that is open to visitors all year round from 8:00 to 21:00 daily. From 1 May to 31 October there is also a chance to visit the underground passages and the dungeon on the territory of the complex.
There is no public access to the castle buildings.
