The Givskud Zoo and safari-park in Denmark 3 421
Show on map
The Givskud Zoo and safari-park is located in Give (23 kilometers from Billund and 240 kilometers from Copenhagen).
All the animals, except lions (they live in a separate enclosure form other animals), live in the open air; visitors can travel in the park by car (own or rented), ride the park’s safaribus and walk. Monkeys, giraffes, lions, elephants, lamas, rhinoceroses, buffalos and other animals live at the zoo. Visitors can see how zoo staff members feed the animals and even participate in camels feeding.
Also there is a playground with big bouncy castles, an "Indian camp" and interactive zones, where children can turn into a gold digger or a baker, in the park. Children can also explore the park on a small locomotive.
In 2015 a new dinosaur park was opened within the park. More than 40 different dinosaur species are exhibited here – all in full scale.
There are restaurants and cafes and a souvenir shop on the territory of the park.
Please check the working hours on the official website.
