The National Gallery of Art opened in Copenhagen in 1896. A big collection of pictures and sculptures by Danish and foreign masters since the 14th century until modern days is exhibited at the museum.
Admission to the collection is free, entrance to temporary exhibitions and events is by ticket only. Children Gallery of Art with exhibitions, workshops and painting classes for children and adults is open for the whole family. On Sundays a special program for children and excursions are held here. In the Art of Europe 1300-1800 Gallery children can play in Match-SMK table game.
Birthday parties can be held at the museum. There is a souvenir shop and a cafe on the territory of the museum.
