The Vikings Centre is located in two kilometers to the South from Rige (265 to the west from Copenhagen). There are workshops, where visitors can watch craftsmen in action and carve their own wooden object, shoot a crossbow, try Vikings' cuisine, participate in falconry and get to the market square from the 8-10 centuries on the territory of the centre. On the farm, visitors can feed cows, sheep, hens and gees and ride horses.
There is also a medieval playground for children on the territory of the centre. The biggest Viking Fair in Denmark is held here every year in the beginning of May. In June the Lamb Days take place, in August - the harvest festival. The Vikings Centre is open since the end of April until the end of October. Please check the working hours on the official website.
