The Bird Park in Villars-les-Dombes (Parc des oiseaux Villars-les-Dombes) is located in approximately 40 km from Lyon, and is considered to be the largest bird sanctuary in France. The park occupies an area of ​​35 hectares, and a mini-train runs through its territory.

The park is home to approximately 300 species of birds from different continents. The park recreates the natural environments of birds and there are no cages. Visitors can hand feed the Lori parrots, see an aerial birds show with the participation of pelicans, cranes, and hornbills.
