The Arab World Institute was founded in Paris in 1987. It was created to establish a connection between France and the Arab world and to extend the Arab culture.
The museum houses objects form the ancient Arab world, items from the times of Islam culture and science formation and some Arab-Islamic art.
There is an free observation deck on the roof of the museum. A restaurant and a cafe are also open to visitors.
