Le Brevent Cable Car, Telecabine Lift from the Chamonix Valley to Le Brevent, France

Le Brevent Cable Car takes visitors from the Chamonix Valley to the top of Le Brévent. First, gondola lifts take visitors up to Plan Praz (1,999 meters above sea level), then two cable cars go all the way to Le Brévent (2,525 meters). At the top it is possible to get a great panoramic view of the south slope of Mont Blanc. A number of trekking routes start at Plan Praz, it is also a popular taking off point for paragliders. 

There are two restaurants at this route: the "La Bergerie" at Plan Praz (serves snacks), and the "Le Panoramique" at the top of Le Brévent (with a great view of Mont Blanc). There are some picnic tables at Le Brévent, and family tickets are available. Please note that the weather is much cooler at the top, please make sure to have sufficient clothing, especially for the children.
