The Museum of Miniatures and Cinema in Lyon was founded by the efforts of miniaturist Dan Olmanu. He placed his collection in five floors of a 16th century mansion. The first part of the museum shows the miniatures from everyday life - a bookshop, a hairdresser, a bedroom - everything looks real, except very small in size. In one of the halls of the museum visitors can see how artists create new miniatures.
The second part of the museum is devoted to the cinema - there are masks, costumes and scenery for such films as Stuart Little, Robocop, Gladiator, and many others. This part of museum reveals the secrets of special effects in movies.
