The Tbilisi History Museum is located in downtown Tbilisi in a former caravanserai, that is why the second name of the museum is "Carvasla". The main exhibition is devoted to the history of Tbilisi: visitors can see the ancient artifacts as well as photos from the XIX century, national costumes, musical instruments, weapons etc. The museum has a large architectural collection: models of the main sights of the city.
Guided tours in English and German are available. The museum also exhibits pieces of contemporary art.
