The Kokhta-Mitarbi Resort, located in 25 km from Borjomi, opened in December 2016 after a 30-years break. Two cable ways and one ski lift raise tourists to the altitude of about 2300 meters above sea level. The 3.5 km long slope is designed for experienced skiers. It is planned to build hotels, restaurants, and entertainment centers in the nearby area.
It is assumed that the Kokhta-Mitarbi resort will be full of tourists all year round: this place is known for its mineral springs.
