The Martvili Canyons is a major attraction in the Samegrelo Region. There are two beautiful natural canyons. Tourists come here to do some rafting, to swim, and to get some rest from the heat: it is always cool in the canyons, and the water is cold.
It is possible to rent a rubber boat in the Upper Canyon. And the Lower Canyon is just a place to swim and relax. There are some cafes in the area.
The most convenient way to get to the canyons is by car. The canyons are situated near the Martvili-Salkhino highway. It is possible to go on a one-day-trip to the Martvili canyons from Kutaisi.
