The Museum für Naturkunde houses a collection of more than 30 millions zoological, mineralogical and paleontological specimens, the most famous of which are the largest mounted dinosaur skeleton in the world - the Giraffatitan brancai, and the specimen of Archaeopteryx - the earliest bird on Earth.
Other halls of the museum are dedicated to evolution, planets of the Solar system and the constitution of Earth, European nature and other subjects.
