Archaeological and ethnographical collections are exhibited at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, which also houses an art gallery with paintings of Israel by European and American artists.
Next to the museum building visitors can see the Model of Jerusalem (in the Second Temple Period), the Art Garden with modern sculptures, the Shrine of the Book campus where the Dead Sea Scrolls are exhibited, and the Art Education center with a big library and art classes, where a lot of events for children are held during the year.
