The Capitoline Museums is the complex of three buildings at the Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome.
Museum collections are dedicated to the history of Rome: here visitors can see statues of Roman emperors, the original bronze Capitoline Wolf sculpture of a she-wolf suckling Romulus and Remus, sarcophagi, ancient mosaics and paintings and other works of art.
Temporary exhibitions and cultural events are also regularly held at the museum.
