The Castle of the Holy Angel in Rome was built as a mausoleum, was later used as a fortress and finally turned into a museum. Today it features Medieval arms and household items, an interior of the Pope's apartments, treasury and other objects.
There is also a library and a bookshop at the museum. The observation deck is open for the visitors.
