The Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Oslo was the first museum of it's kind in Europe. There are more than 35 000 objects, demonstrating the history of costume, fashion design, textiles, furniture and craft forms in the museum collection. The main attractions of the museum are the royal costume collection, the 12th century tapestry and old-time objects made of glass and faience.
The entrance is free for children under 18. On Sundays the admission is free for everybody.
