The Deoksugung Palace is a royal residence of the Joseon family. Some of the buildings in the complex are traditional, other ones show the influence of European architecture.

Temporary exhibitions are held on the territory of the palace. The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is also located here.

Visitors can also enjoy festive guard mount at the entrance to the complex.
