The CaixaForum Madrid Centre is a modern cultural space, located not far from the Golden Triangle of the Madrid museums in the building of a former power station. The building is completely refurbished: now it consists of 6 floors - 4 above ground and 2 under. In the underground halls there are theater and concert halls. On the upper floors, guests can visit galleries, audiovisual rooms, souvenir and book shops, a cafe and restaurant. On one of the building walls there is a vertical garden.
The exposition of the center encompasses works by contemporary artists, and visiting temporary exhibitions from other museums are regularly held here. Classical music and flamenco concerts, theatrical performances, and film sessions take place here as well.
Children can play in the special kids rooms and take part in various creative, cognitive and concert programs. The center offers free admission for everyone, participation in programs is for a fee.
