The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge in Belfast, Ireland, UK 2 408
Show on map
The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge at the North Coast was first erected by salmon fishermen in 1755. The bridge is suspended almost 30 meters above sea level. The bridge itself is 20 meters long and scratches from the mainland to Rocky Island, from where a splendid view opens up to Scotland and the Causeway Coast.
Dogs or strollers are not permitted to cross the bridge. There are baby-changing, tea-room and gift-shop facilities available at the site. Please check the working hours at the official website.
