Center Parcs is a European chain of resorts, which was originally founded in the Netherlands back in 1968. The Whinfell Forest resort offers various outdoor activities, equipment and cottage rental, kayaking and other activities on the lake. The Lakeside Inn also invites guests to engage in both indoor and outdoor activities. The park has miles and miles of walking trails.

 The Subtropical Swimming Paradise Waterpark is a part of the complex and is open all year round. The waterpark has a spa and the Canyon Ride, where visitors can ride inflatable floats on a fast river with rocky shores overgrown with trees.
