The Sleeping Bear Dunes is a national park at the lake Michigan shore, which is famous for its huge dunes one can climb. The Glen Haven Maritime Museum and the Life Saving Station are located in the park. Visitors can also enjoy canoe trips, trekking along trails and more.
In summer nights, the Beach Bards perform around a campfire, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays from Summer Solstice through Labor Day visitors can explore the night sky through the 14″ Celestron Telescope.
There is a camping ground and a Visitor Centre in the park.
