The Ainola Jean Sibelius House Museum is located near the Tuusula lake in the town of Järvenpää, about a 30-minute drive from Helsinki. The composer and his wife Aino (the home was named after her) lived here from 1904 until the end of their lives. The museum's collection consists of authentic items, which belonged to the Sibelius family.
Guests can visit the composer's study, bedroom, dining room, guest room, kitchen, sauna, and garden (the owners of the house are buried here).
The museum is open from the beginning of May to the end of September, except Mondays.There is a cafe in the museum with an open terrace.
Guided tours may be arranged in the following languages: Finnish, Swedish, English. By advance booking: French and German. Free parking is available.
