The Amuri Museum of Workers' Housing in Tampere is devoted to showing how the working people of Finland dwelled in the years from 1882 until 1973. The museum offers guests to visit houses with 30 apartments, a cooperative shop, a public sauna, and the Amurin Helmi cafe. From the beginning of June until the end of August there are English-language tours of the museum (come free with the purchased entry ticket). In the summer there are fairs, concerts and other events organized at the Amuri neighbourhood.
The museum is only open in the warm months of the year and entrance is free on Fridays from 15:00 until 18:00.
