The Archipelago National Park was founded in 1983 and it occupies approximately 500 sq. km of the Southwestern shore of Finland. The archipelago has more islands in it, than any other archipelago in the world. The park is a home to a few lighthouses, churches and fortresses. Over 1000 people permanently live in the park area. The park is only accessible by sea, however it has campfire site, camping areas, and nature trails on land (up to 3 km long).
