The Arctic Expedition sled dog rides, husky hikes and outdoor activities for the entire family in just 40 minute drive from the center of Helsinki. The expeditions starts in the Nuuksio National Park (Nuuksion Kansallispuisto) in Kattila, or by the Haltia Nature Center. The program is perfect for families with kids as young as 4 years old, and may include:
- meeting and making friends with the beautiful Siberian huskies,
- learning about these arctic dogs,
- instruction and sled dog riding,
- warm refreshments around fire, possibly in a true Sami kota.
Only cash payments are accepted from private guests at this time. The Vetoava Kennel offers purebred puppies for sale.

Arctic Expedition offers sled dog rides in winter, year-round it organizes special family-friendly tours for dog lovers, with affectionate and intelligent Siberian huskies. Kids and adults can learn about these amazing dogs, pet, ride, and fall in love with them. Tours usually take place at the Nuuksio National Park in Espoo (40 minutes away from the center of Helsinki), last about 2 hours, and end with hot beverages sharing around a camp fire.
