The Arctic SnowHotel, Icerestaurant, Lumikartano restaurant and Arctic Glass Igloos in Rovaniemi, Finland

The Arctic SnowHotel is made of ice and snow and the temperature in the room always stays between 0 and -5 degrees centigrade. Guests sleep in warm sleeping bags.

All guests of the hotel get a guided tour around the SnowHotel, overnighting instructions, warm and high-quality sleeping bags, shower and toilet facilities, a wake-up service including a hot drink, a breakfast in the Log Restaurant, and a diploma on spending the night beneath snow and ice in arctic conditions. Since 2014 the hotel also offers 15 Arctic Glass Igloos to stay in. Each one is 20 square meters, warmly insulated, have thermal-glass roofs and heated floors, a bathroom with a shower, breakfast can be served in the igloo. The Snowhotel has three restaurants: the unique Lumikartano, the Icerestaurant, and the hut Restaurant Kota.

Guests can also make use of the snow sauna, regular sauna or hot tub and Jacuzzi. It is possible to hold birthday parties and other family events (including including weddings) at the Snowhotel. The Arctic SnowHotel is open for all visitors to see and explore between 12:00 and 19:00, but an entrance fee applies. The Snowhotel welcomes guests from the middle of December until the end of March. Arctic Glass Igloos are open from beginning of December until the beginning of April.
