The Aviation Museum of Central Finland (Keski-Suomen Ilmailumuseo on Suomen Ilmavoimien museo) is located not far from the airport of Jyvaskyla. The museum tells Finnish aviation history from its beginning to nowadays.
Here visitors can see bombers of World War I, Fokker D.XXI, Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 and other aircrafts of World War II, seaplanes, helicopters and jets of the second half of XX century. And there is the only surviving worldwide fighter Brewster B-239 that participated in Winter War. Visitors can take the pilot's place and make a picture in a MiG cockpit.
The museum has a cafe and a souvenir shop. Kids under 7 - free admission.
