Esplanadin puisto, or Esplanadi Park, is located in the center of Helsinki. This narrow, boulevard-style park lies in the heart of Finland’s capital, offering an ideal setting for year-round strolls and summer picnics on the grass.
One end of the park is anchored by Svenska Teatern (the Swedish Theatre), while the other meets the seaside Market Square. The park frequently hosts jazz concerts, fashion shows, and other city events. Along its paths visitors can find various kiosks and cafes, including Kappeli—Helsinki's historic restaurant, built in 1867 and designed by architect Hampus Dahlström.Esplanadi is also dotted with benches for visitors to rest and features numerous statues, including one of Johan Ludvig Runeberg, Finland’s national poet and the author of the country's national anthem.
Esplanadi has two public toilets.
