The German Evangelical Lutheran Church was created for German-speaking residents in Finland. The German Church in Helsinki is part of the Finnish church and belongs to the Swedish diocese in Porvoo. The building of the German Church in Helsinki was built in the neo-Gothic style in 1864, and underwent reconstructed in 2001. The church has an organ and regularly holds concerts of classical music for children and adults.
