The Helsinki Zoo is located on the Korkeasaari island. Over 150 animal species from six continents live at the zoo: bears, snow leopards, bisons, gluttons, peacocks, red pandas and others. Several cafes and restaurants offer dinners and snacks.
The zoo is open all year round: in the summer it is possible to get there by a ferry from the Market Square or Hakaniemi, in all other seasons it is possible to get there by bus or the Metro. Opening hours are seasonal, please check on the Zoo's official website for details. There is no entrance fee for kids under 4 years of age.
