Korundi is the name of the Rovaniemi Art Museum and the Korundi House of Culture in Lapland. Rovaniemi Art Museum is focused on Finnish contemporary art and Northern art. In its yearly exhibition program the museum introduces works from artists who either work in North or are born here. The exhibition program includes exhibitions from the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation Collection, which was given as a gift to the museum. Museum activities are based on interaction of art with science, culture, the local multicultural community and the University of Lapland. The museum is also a home to library.
The building now housing the Korundi House of Culture was originally an old post bus depot dating back to 1933. The House of Culture is the home to the Lapland Chamber Orchestra and holds concerts, conferences and other big events. There is also a cafe and a souvenir shop at the center.
