The Kurjenrahka National Park was founded in 1998, it covers 29 sq. km of land. The park offers more than 300 km of walking trails, a number of bird watching and observation towers. In winter, the park has cross-country skiing trails. The Kurjenrahka National Park is a home to lynx, bear, wolf, and various swamp dwelling birds.
