The Lakis Ski Center is located in the municipality of Vimpele (province of Southern Ostrobothnia), on the eastern shore of Lake Lappajärvi. There resort offers the option to stay in cottages or the designated camping site. There are 15km of cross-country skiing trails, 3 hunting lodges, and a restaurant below the slopes. The longest slope is 750 meters, and the maximum drop is 90 meters.
