Liminganlahti is one of the most important resting spots of arctic birds along their route of migration. Over 280 of bird species pass by Liminka Bay every year, and at least 100 species stay here to nest. The Liminka Bay Visitor Center offers a splendid interactive and fun exhibition for families with children, explaining a lot about the local and migrating birds.
The Bird Watching Center has 5 specially equipped bird watching towers, various walking trails (some accessible with wheel chairs and strollers), picnic and campfire areas, a hotel and a restaurant.
The Nature Center is free for all to visit. The hotel offers family rooms with a common kitchen and sauna areas. The restaurant regularly serves buffet meals, but it can also be rented out for special events. The complex has two large meeting rooms with video equipment which can screen educational films or welcome various events and conferences.
