The Linnanmäki Amusement Park is located in the centre of Helsinki. There are more than 40 rides here: The Lord of the Skies, the Lightning, the Rocket, the Fire Sledge, the Fast Train and other games and amusements. In summer 2014 the new ride was ready: Kingi, a free fall.
Cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops are also open for the visitors. In the summer more than 20 cultural events take place in the Linnanmaki park. The Sea Life Oceanarium is also located here. The entrance to the park, the viewing point Panorama and 10 rides are free, for all other rides visitors have to buy a ticket or a bracelet for the entire day.
The park is open since the beginning of May until the end of October, please check the working hours on the official website.

We visited the Carnival of Light in Linnanmäki in October 2017. The festival annually attracts large crowds of people, including many students, teenagers and children. Entrance to the park is always free, and there are even some free rides. Aside from rides, some classic favourites for kids available at the park are cotton candy on a glowing stick, popcorn and fireworks.
