Malminkartanonhuippu, or Malminkartano Peak, is the highest point in Helsinki, standing at 91 meters above sea level. The summit offers exceptional views of the city and the sea and serves as a popular area for recreation and exercise.
Visitors can reach the top via several walking trails or by ascending the wooden staircase with 426 steps. At the peak, there is an observation platform with flags and benches, making it a great spot to rest and take in the scenery. Although there is no winter maintenance, Malminkartano Peak becomes a favorite sledding destination during the snowy months.Malminkartanonhuippu is an artificial hill, created between 1976 and 1996, when it was used as a municipal landfill site.
