The Moominworld is located 13 kilometres to the west of Turku, in Naantali, on the Kailo island. The theme park was founded in 1993. Visitors of the park can meet and hug Moomins, Hemul, Snufkin and Snorkmaiden, take a look at the new decorations inside the Moominhouse, see a show in Theatre Emma (in Finnish or in Swedish), attend the Witch's flying school.
The Moominworld has about a dozen restaurants, cafes, stalls and kiosks where visitor's can buy food, from home cooked dishes to small snacks and sweets. There is a sand beach next to the park, and a walking trails takes visitors around the island. There is a baby care (nursing) room in Moominworld. The park is open in summer, from the beginning of June to the end of August, and also around Christmas. Please check the opening hours at the official website. Tickets purchased online are cheaper than tickets purchased at the door.Paid parking is available to Moominworld visitors at Tuulensuunkatu 12, Naantali. A free shuttle bus runs from the parking lot to the center of Naantali, next to the seafront and close to the entrance to Moominworld.
