The Police Museum in Tampere is located in the same building as the Police Academy. The permanent exhibition is titled "900 year-long history of Finnish Police". The museum has uniforms, weapons, equipment, transport and other police stuff, as well as 80 thousand photos, 1600 videos and 1600 books. There is also an interactive "Kids police station" at the museum. Temporary exhibitions are updated once or twice per year. This museum is free for all, but excursions are available for a fee (only in Finnish, and are recommended for kids over 4 years of age).
