Natural History Museum of Central Finland - Jyväskylän yliopiston tiedemuseo - is a part of The University of Jyvaskyla and is located on the Harju hill.
There is one permanent exhibition "Perintönä ympäristö" ("Environment as a heritage") at the museum that displays the diversity of nature in Central Finland. Here visitors can see dioramas of all seasons with stuffed animals and screens with interactive quizzes and games for kids. Tours are accompanied by a sounds of nature. There is a botanical garden on the territory of Jyväskylä University.
